3 - 2 - 1 - Blast off!!! Like the New Year countdown, so we count down to another year (2010) of youth group fun : I am so excited to see you, hear about your holidays, and party it up. Below are the details for January. Please be sure to let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks!

As with any holiday, you have leftovers, and so do we from our 2009 Christmas Party. Today, from 5:00PM-8:00PM (Both), we will be meeting in the youth room to finally watch our movie, do a little discussing, and play our last game. Please bring a little leftover holiday spirit and $5 for pizza and pop.

PRIORITIES. Please meet me in the youth room from 5:00PM-6:30PM (5&6) or from 6:30PM-8:00PM (MH) with $5 in hand and a sharp brain. The winner of today's logic object lesson (the game that links the fun to the learning) will be taking home a whole lot-a candy!

Let's get out and about for the night! BONAVENTURE!!! Both groups will be meeting for a skate party from 7:00PM to 9:00PM in Farmington Hills (24505 Halsted Rd - meet here, not at the church). Please bring $15. This price includes your admission, skates, pizza, pop, ice cream, and a pass for free skating next time. Why not bring your friends too!

"Love, love, love, love, crazy love." Great song, and the reason we can be joyous and hopeful, love others and be free. But not because of any love- but God's love. Let's celebrate that this month, as well as some of the other things and activities below. As always, contact me with questions and concerns.

Mid-High Youth Group Update for November and December 2009

Fall is coming to an end and the Holidays are just around the corner. What a great time of year that I am pleased to enjoy and share with you. Details to all of our festivities can be found below. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Note my need for a parent chaperone. Kudos to you whose parent volunteers, and to the parent themselves.

And you thought the scariness was over. Friday the 13th. Join us from 5:00PM to 8:00PM (both groups) in the Youth Room for the continuation of our Halloween Party. We will be bobbing for Apples, playing Ghostbusters, eating Pizza, Pop and more. Please bring $5.

Thanksgiving = Thankfulness, but today we want to look at the opposite - Unthankfulness. Bring your unthankful self and $5 to youth group (5th and 6th grades from 5:00 to 6:30 and Mid-High from 6:30 to 8:00) meeting in the youth room. I am so unthankful you're coming.

Thanksgiving is over; it's time to jump right into Christmas. The Advent Workshop is December 6 and we need to get ready for our Nativity!! Today (Mid- High from 11:30PM to 1:00PM and 5th and 6th grades from 1:00PM to 2:30PM) we will being doing just so; Practice and preparation make perfect. Games, food, and fun to follow. Please bring $5 for pizza and pop. NOTE TO PARENTS: I need ONE parent volunteer to chaperone advent workshop, as I will be in LA. Please notify me if you can do so!

"The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, they'd been worn all week and needed the air..." is an excerpt from the classic Christmas poem, and something that is coming true for all youth groupers this year. Each person will have a stocking hung in the youth room beginning the last week in November. Youth groupers are invited to add small stocking stuffers to everyone's sock- not a must, but something fun for the holiday season. These will be opened at our party on December 18. All other details are below. Ho, ho, ho, happy holidays and looking forward to the fun!

Yay!!! It's time to party!!! Meet me in the youth room from 5:00PM to 8:00PM for an awesome get together to celebrate the holidays!!! Expect loads of games, food, fun, and surprises. Jolly friends are welcome. All that is required is $5 for pizza and pop, and a gift/treat to drop in stockings if you haven't/want to do so.
