Senior High Youth Group Update for January and February 2010

I hope everyone had an enjoyable and blessed Christmas.

Please pay attention to the schedule below as we will be meeting at a new time for the month of February. And don't forget, Spring Hill Weekend is January 29-31.

In January we will be finishing up our second 4 week Bible Study, "Revealed," and on January 24 we will begin our third, "Inhabit, Choosing to be Set Apart." In this study we will talk about what it is that sets us apart from our culture. We will learn how to be in the world without conforming to it. We will learn to focus on holiness and to live not for the world, but for the sake of an Eternal Kingdom!

Feb 21 Mr. Pastoor is out of town - NO YOUTH GROUP
Feb 28 "Stand Together" Meet 1:00-2:30PM Bring $5 for pizza.

Unless otherwise specified, we will meet at my house on Sunday evenings from 6-8 PM. The evening starts with the lesson, followed by food (usually pizza) with time left over for fellowship as we play cards, foosball, pool, video games, etc.

Senior High Youth Group Update for November and December 2009

The Year is off to a great start. The Corn Maze was a lot of fun and the participation in the lessons has been really great! Mark your calendars for January 29 - 31 as this will be our weekend trip to Spring Hill. Watch for the sign-up sheet at church. Remember, we need at least 20 kids if we are going to take a chartered bus.

We will also be starting our second 4 week Bible Study. This one is called Revealed. The Bible is God's story revealed to us. But in order to learn God's story we have to learn how to study the Bible. Revealed removes the intimidation factor of the Bible by clearly teaching us the big picture of God's Word. Revealed also teaches easy to remember skills to use in studying any passage of Scripture.

Nov 22 Thanksgiving Potluck at Church. We will sit together.
Nov 29 Thanksgiving Weekend - No Youth Group
Dec 6 Advent Workshop 2:00 - 4:00PM at Church. We will be helping the little ones with a craft.
Dec 13 Children's Christmas Musical at Church - come and watch!
Dec 20 Christmas Party with ornament exchange (no more than $10 or make one!) Food provided.
Dec 27 Christmas Break - No Youth Group
