Membership Committee

The Fellowship Committee is a committee of the Session and is composed of a chairperson, a Session representative and members from the congregation at large.

The Membership Committee is responsible for programs that involve the education and acceptance of new members into the church. This committee assists the staff with new member classes and reception of new members by the session. It is also responsible for providing a structure for actively involving new members in the life of the church. Helping Hand is a subcommittee of the Membership Committee.

Helping Hands

Helping Hands provides meals for members who are in need of short term assistance. Helping Hands provides meals for members of the congregation returning home from a hospital stay, and may provide meals following funeral/memorial services in the church. Meals are provided by members of the Congregation who have volunteered to be called when such needs arise.

Pictorial Directory

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, Thursday or Friday September 12-14 from 3:00 PM to 9:30 PM or Saturday September 15 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM to have your family portrait taken. Pictures will be used for a 25th anniversary edition of the Church directory. Everyone who has a photo taken will receive a 8 by 10 inch picture and a directory. If you would like to schedule sitting time in advance, please call Janice Church. A regular sign-up will take place in August.

Joining Faith Community

Faith Community Presbyterian Church is now offering New Member Orientations on the first Sunday of each month. The meetings are scheduled at 11:45 am following the 10:30 am worship service. Anyone interested in learning more about Faith Community Presbyterian Church is invited to attend this brief meeting. Please call the church office at 248-349-2345 to sign-up.
