Joining Faith Community Presbyterian Church

You are invited to learn more about Faith Community and the Presbyterian Church by attending our New Member Classes. These classes provide information about our church community in an informal setting, allowing you to get to know the church staff, leaders and other prospective members.

Check the church calendar for the next New Member Class. Free childcare as well as light refreshments are offered at each of these meetings. New members are received into the congregation following attendance at a New Member Class.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Am I obligated to join if I attend these classes?
No. Some people come for more information about our church family and then make a decision about their membership. This decision is for you to make.
2. What if I haven't been baptized?
    What if I was baptized in another church?
The Presbyterian Church recognizes all forms of baptism. We believe in one baptism, however, if you have not been baptized, this will take place during the worship service the morning you join.
3. What if I am unable to attend all of the classes in the series?
As in any learning situation, it is best to attend all the classes. However, some people do join having missed a class.
4. What if I am a member of another church?
    What if I have never attended any church?
You can become a member of Faith Community Presbyterian Church no matter how much or how little your previous church involvement was. There are four ways to become a member:
  • Letter of Transfer: From a church of which you are currently a member. Our church office will send for these.
  • Reaffirmation of Faith: By those who have not been active members in a church for some time.
  • Confession of Faith: Those who have never been members of a church family.
  • Affiliate Membership: For those who wish to keep their membership in their home church and also become members of Faith Community.
